"Went out for a coastal fishing trip this past weekend with my wife, my buddy and his girlfriend and we had a blast! My buddy and I are avid fishermen but have never fished out of San Diego before and Shaun shared a wealth of information with us AND put us on the fish! We went on the 6 hour coastal trip and Shaun delivered an amazing experience and we loaded up the cooler with a constant bite of rockfish and almost a dozen other species. Shaun was at the dock early and brought us back late. He baited hooks for my wife & buddy's girlfriend and took their fish off. The boat is in tip top shape, and all 37 fish we kept were fileted and on ice when we got back to the dock as well. Shaun is also super friendly and makes sure that YOU are the one who is catching the fish. All four of us had a great time and we're looking forward to heading out with Shaun down to the Coronado Islands to chase Yellowtail next time. I've been on many fishing charters, literally around the world, and Captain Shaun and Pelican Sportfishing are tops. Thanks Shaun!"    - Johnathon Fata

Had a blast with this family during a half day fishing trip along La Jolla. Always enjoy seeing kids learn and experience fishing on their own. It's a hobby that can last a lifetime. They loaded up on a mix of species, including a nice halibut and even caught (and safely released) a small shark. Thank you Garrett for choosing Pelican Sportfishing!

Fantastic experience. We had three generations out with Capt. Shaun, varying from expert to novice angler, and all had a great time. He put us on fish, helped out where necessary, and was flexible to our priorities for the day. We'll definitely be back!     - Garrett C

Quick morning trip to the Coronado Islands produced a solid yellowtail within 15 minutes for Elliot. It happened to be his first yellowtail ever and he was celebrating his birthday. A barracuda was hooked but lost to the seal lions. Happy Birhday Elliot! Thank you Reem for choosing Pelican Sportfishing. Looking forward to having you two out again!

Went on a full day trip to the coronado islands with Shaun, unfortunately my husband felt very sick shortly after arriving at the islands. So we had to leave early, Shaun was very understanding and did his best to take care of us.
Within the first 5 minutes we had our lines in the water and was on fish. My husband was able to land at least 1 yellowtail tube before sea sickness got the better of him! Unfortunately I lost a barracuda to the sea lions.
Shaun was very informative and explained every step along the way and gave very clear instructions on what to do and how to handle the tackle. Even with my husband feeling sick from sea sickness he is already asking if we can go again with Shaun as we found he was a excellent captain.                  - Reem

Kevin and Jeff from Vegas hopped on for some bottom fishing for a half day trip. It was a steady bite with a variety of species caught. More importantly, Kevin and Jeff were able to honor their late father, whom they had just had a celebration of life for the day prior. Bittersweet day but we had a great time and I look forward to having these guys out again. Thank you Kevin and Jeff for choosing Pelican Sportfishing for such an important and special event. 

Bob had originally booked a 3/4 Day Offshore Trip, however, since the tuna weren't in range we game planned ahead of time and turned the trip into a 3/4 Day at Coronado Islands. I'd say they made the right decision. Camden felt a little heartbreak after losing his first yellowtail ever to a sea lion but he made up for it, ripping 7 yellows past them throughout the day. It had been 20 years since Bob caught a yellowtail. As always, a super enjoyable day watching a father and son slay fish and make memories! Thanks Bob for choosing Pelican Sportfishing. I spoke with Captain Shaun prior to our booking, explained past trips and fish we wanted to catch on this one. The Captain suggested a 3/4 day trip heading south of the border to the Coronado's Islands. Caden, my son, is quite the fisherman catching 8 yellowtail on this trip while I reeled in 2 others. The boat was super clean and our bounty stayed on ice until we were close to being back at dock. The Captain filleted our fish and bagged them in ziploc bags for us. This trip is truly memorial for the two of us. Thanks Captain Shaun! ~ Bob from Phoenix

Coronado Islands for a Full Day with an awesome group from Iowa. They caught a nice variety including yellowtail, barracuda, bonito and rockfish! The water was a little rough away from the Islands and the guys preferred the calmer side of the Islands so we spent a majority of our day there. Great group, some had lots of experience, others had little experience but they all caught a variety of fish and had a fun time. Thank you David for choosing Pelican! Mark and Anthony, a local father and son, hopped aboard for a AM Half Day trip. They caught limits of reds and had a fun day, in their words, catching more fish in one trip than they had caught all together in past fishing trips! Gloomy morning but a great day on the water.
